Most growing businesses eventually begin to separate their operations and business development segments into separate departments. We business developers are lucky in that we have the ability to stay relatively lean and agile as our companies grow. Meanwhile, our colleagues in operations often have to invest more heavily in equipment and technology. At Calipso, we are business development experts that scale company’s client-facing departments (sales, marketing, customer service) so that they can acquire and retain more and more clients to grow their businesses.
